Shoalhaven Arts Board

The Shoalhaven Arts Board oversees the development of Arts in the City. Its role is to enrich, celebrate and develop the arts for the benefit, esteem and image of the whole of the Shoalhaven community. Its activities include:

• Oversees the management of programs of the City Arts Centre
  
• Provides grants for small museums in the Shoalhaven.
  
• Provides arts magazines, arts and artist directory and arts information brochures.
• Offers a mobile art gallery hire scheme.
  
• Annual grants to artists and arts organisations for innovative and quality arts programs. Applications open May and close June.
  
• Oversees Council’s art collection and acquisitions.
  
• Sponsorship of the Shoalhaven Youth Orchestra.
  
• Innovative public art and arts projects for the City.
  

Throughout the year there are many active projects including artists working in the community, designing and/or creating public art. There are many opportunities for the arts community. Activities are advertised in local newspapers.
