Southern Highlands Printmakers

The Southern Highland Printmakers was formed in 1983 with the aim of fostering printmaking in the community and bringing printmakers together to share ideas and exhibit their work.

The group has held successful group exhibitions previously at Goulburn, Wollongong and Campbelltown Regional Galleries in addition to the regular exhibitions in Bowral and the Sturt Gallery at Mittagong. This group exhibition will showcase a variety of printmaking techniques by members.

Frendz | Chere & Ric Le Page

A whimsical look at life by this creative Shoalhaven-based duo. Chere’s work includes drawings, paintings, prints and paper clay and, working collaboratively with partner Ric, sculptural pieces.

ACCESS GALLERY

Gender Agenda | Alison Mackay & Alison Chiam

This exhibition by two south coast artists shares their different approaches to portraying the human body, exploring identity, body image, gender roles and society’s perceived notions of beauty and function. Mainly large-scale figurative paintings of a contemporary nature, the works range from the abstractly expressive to realistic, mostly using acrylics or oil paint, though some will also include mixed media assemblages.

National biennial competition of photography

Exhibition of a selection of photographs entered into the Shoalhaven National Photographic Competition for 2008. Entries include a wide variety of subject matter from intimate portraits to panoramic landscapes and will include both black and white and colour images.

A selection of portraits from the “Little Archie” competition, the ‘must-see’ centrepiece of the biennial See Change Festival.
The Little Archie is not only a portrait prize – it is also a salute to a community. There is a rich diversity of style and media vying for the $2000 Shoalhaven Arts Board and JB&BArts first prize, a $500 best photographic portrait, $500 People’s Choice prize. Enjoy the prize-winning entries and a selection of featured portraits from this unique exhibition.
