ACCESS GALLERY

This exhibition showcases two photographers who choose to express themselves in ways which are outside the limitations of traditional photography, and who look to explore colour, texture, light and shadow using digital techniques. These images are the result of those expressions.

MAIN GALLERY
ARTEXPRESS is a suite of exhibitions of exemplary artworks created by Visual Arts students for the Higher School Certificate.The works represent a broad range of subject matter, approaches, styles and media that reflect the high quality of Visual Arts education in New South Wales. Expressive forms include painting, photomedia, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, graphic design, documented forms, textiles and fibre, ceramics, time-based forms and collections of works.

ARTEXPRESS is coordinated by the Arts Unit, and jointly managed by the NSW Department of Education and Training and the Office of the Board of Studies.

FOYER GALLERY

The artist is passionate about silver gelatin black and white photography. Some images were taken using hand- processed film and the rest were taken in colour digital format. Her subject matter ranges from her love of Art Nouveau and choreographed photography from the late 19th Century through to this time with an emphasis on vintage, forgotten and ‘once loved’.

ACCESS GALLERY

This exhibition celebrates the simple but profound beauty of the everyday, the divine in the domestic scene. It reflects and explores the fleeting beauty of nature’s bounty in ‘flora, frutta and vegetalia’ in acrylics and pastels, and the joy of handcrafted ceramic forms with organic additions which are in harmony with the representations of good food harvested from their gardens.

Annual exhibition with themes relating to recovery and mental health that seeks to promote an understanding of mental health within the broader community. It is open to all artists and encourages them to explore differing and diverse perspectives. The theme for 2011 is ‘Family and Friends – Support makes a difference’, entries should address this concept.
